How We Operate

The IBC operates in countries impacted by conflict and war,

focusing our efforts in 3 primary ways to help people in need.

BASIC NEEDS

BASIC NEEDS

  • We work with local, vetted organizations to provide shelf-stable food and water for refugees, people displaced within their home nation, and individual soldiers.

  • People impacted by the violence of conflict and war must often flee for safety with little to no warning. We provide basic clothing - socks, underwear, blouse, pants, shoes, coats, etc. - for children and adults.

  • We provide financial support to local groups and organizations for housing refugees in shelters and other areas.

  • Sometime the most basic of items can make the biggest difference. We provide soap, shampoo, lotion, toothbrush, toothpaste, feminine products, etc. to those in need.

  • Personal financial instability is often a consequence of conflict and war. That’s why we provide direct benevolence funding to individuals in need. These case-by-case financial gifts provide a sense of comfort, dignity, and hope to those from whom so much has been taken.

TRAUMA AID

  • The need for medical supplies grows exponentially during times of conflict and war. Such overwhelming demand can be crippling for the healthcare system(s) of an affected area, so we provide supplies to lessen some of the burden. These items include: Individual First Aid Kits (IFAKs), hemostatic agents, OTC pain relievers, first aid ointment, medical scissors, etc.

  • The trauma caused by conflict and war often reverberates long after the fighting ends. Conditions like Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), anxiety, depression, and insomnia are often a by-product of this type of trauma, and can affect people of all ages, civilian and soldiers, alike. We are advocates for mental health care and provide direct support for therapy groups in Lublin, Poland.
