Biographies
Chris Seidensticker - President
Chris currently runs finance for Astro Gaming, a start up technology lifestyle brand for pro video game players. Previous to Astro Gaming, Chris ran finance at ESTECH Cardiac Surgery Specialists, a medical device start up company. Chris has also worked in Finance and Strategy for Siebel Systems and Baxter Healthcare. Chris graduated cum laude from the University of Notre Dame with a degree in Finance and Psychology. He also holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
David Willson - Treasurer
Dave Willson is the Director of Finance for TL Fabrications, a structural steel and ornamental iron fabricator serving the residential homebuilding market in Southern California. He also spent time as the Vice President of M&T Trust, where he ran the operational side of the business and sat on their investment team. While at M&T, Dave served as a member and director on the board of the M&T Foundation, a benefactor of the International Business Council. Dave holds an MBA from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California and a BA in Finance from the University of Notre Dame.
Owen McGovern - Secretary
Owen McGovern is a Financial Analyst in the Financial Planning & Analysis division of CashNetUSA, where he evaluates strategic business initiatives. Prior to joining CashNet, Owen was a Business Analyst in the Strategy & Operations division of Deloitte Consulting, where he worked extensively with their Supply Chain Strategy practice. He graduated cum laude in 2006 from the University of Notre Dame with a BBA in Finance.
During his time at Notre Dame, Owen was an active member of the SIBC’s Business Consulting and Finance Divisions, serving on the Strategic Planning Committee and leading the BCG Case Study and UBS Equity Research projects. Additionally, Owen was a member of
Applied Investment Management XXI, where he covered BJ Services and Anheuser-Busch. In
his free time, Owen enjoys a wide range of activities including golf, classical piano, and Notre
Dame football. He is currently entering his third year as the Secretary of the International Business Council.
Tim Rann - Co-Director of Social Enterprise
Tim graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2007 with a Bachelor of Business Administration and Asian Studies. For nearly five years, he has lived and worked in Asia . His experiences include teaching English in Thailand, consulting for Hydrologic Health, serving as the CFO for Pepy, and completing an intensive intermediate Japanese language course in Nagoya.
He has been living in Phnom Penh, Cambodia for two years and has worked with a variety of startup and established social enterprises in the microfinance, sustainable tourism, agriculture, and capacity-building sectors. Tim is currently the Social Enterprise Development Manager at Hagar Social Enterprise Group.
Evan Lintz - Co-Director of Social Enterprise
Evan Lintz graduated from the University of Notre Dame in January of 2009 with degrees in electrical engineering and economics. While at Notre Dame, he was actively involved in the Student International Business Council holding the positions of Director of Business Consulting, Strategic Planning Chair, and President. Additionally, he participated in an SIBC internship at an international trading company in Bangkok, Thailand (Siam Cement Trading). Besides interning at Siam Cement, Evan also interned at the C.I.A., Motorola, and J.P. Morgan while enrolled at Notre Dame. Graduating early and taking the Spring 2009 semester off, Evan recently traveled around Thailand and Hong Kong for two months. He will begin working as an analyst at J.P. Morgan in Chicago beginning later this month. Besides serving as a Director of Social Enterprise for the IBC, Evan is also a member of the Board of Directors for Lucca Leadership North America.
Brook Hughes - Director of Operations
Brook currently works for salesforce.com on the Revenue team in Corporate Finance and has been with the Company for 5 years. After graduating from Saint Mary’s College with a BBA in Business Administration in 2001, she spent 2 ½ years with PricewaterhouseCoopers in their San Jose audit practice.
Brook first became involved in the SIBC through it’s Finance Division while at Saint Mary’s College. In 2005, she became re-engaged with the IBC. From 2006 – 2008, Brook served the IBC as its Membership Director, and she assumed the position of Director of Operations in July 2008.
Brook currently resides in Walnut Creek, CA.
Andrew Morris - Director of University Relations
Rick Rembusch - Outside Director (Audit Committee Chair)
Rick is currently the Director of Property Accounting at Digital Reality Trust in San Francisco, overseeing reporting for the Company's portfolio, which includes approximately 70 buildings in the North America and 15 in Europe. Digital is a real estate investment trust that invests in technology property such as data centers. Prior to Digital, Rick worked for 7 years at the public accounting firms Katz, Sapper, & Miller and Ernst and Young in Indianapolis, Indiana. He is a certified public accountant with licensure in Indiana and pending licensure in California. He graduated in 1997 from University of Notre Dame with a BBA in accountancy.
Brian McMullen - Director (M&T Foundation)
Brian is a Principal at H.I.G. Capital, a private equity firm based in Miami, Florida. Previously, he worked at Credit Suisse First Boston in the investment banking group. Brian holds a B.B.A. from the University of Notre Dame, an M.B.A. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and an M.S.Ed. from the Graduate School of Education at the University of Pennsylvania. He is a CFA charterholder.
Jake Roffan - Outside Director
Jake was the President of the Student International Business Council at the University of Notre Dame in 2004 and has been a member of the IBC since his graduation in May 2005.
Jake is currently an Associate at H.I.G. Capital based in the Miami, Florida office. Jake is a member of the investment team and has helped execute transactions across a variety of industries. Prior to joining H.I.G., Jake was an Analyst within the Global Industrial and Services group at Credit Suisse in Chicago, advising companies in a variety of industries from heavy machinery to marketing services.
Jake earned a B.B.A. in Finance, cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame.
Tom Snider - General Counsel
The General Counsel is not a member of the IBC’s Board of Directors. Rather, the General Counsel advises the Board of Directors and the Executive Director in legal matters.
Thomas R. Snider is an associate in the Washington, DC office of the law firm Dewey & LeBoeuf. Mr. Snider’s practice includes a wide range of matters involving international law and dispute resolution, including international arbitration, representation of foreign governments and government-owned entities in US courts, and representation of private companies in cross-border investments and international commercial disputes. He has been involved in projects throughout the world and was formerly a resident attorney in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, where he worked on client matters in the region.
Mike Boyle - Auditor
Mike Boyle first joined the Student International Business Council at Notre Dame in 1989 soon after the Council’s founding. He was initially attracted by the unusually nice sweaters worn by the organization’s founder, Frank Potenziani. After listening to Frank’s inspiring message, he jumped in with both feet. As a student, he led the Roundtable Speaker series, hosting business and academic leaders at well-appointed Morris Inn conference rooms. He credits the SIBC with once-in-a-lifetime professional growth, and values the friendships he formed along the way. Mike graduated from Notre Dame in 1991. Since then, he has served the IBC in various capacities, most recently as an outside director on the board. Professionally, Mike has worked both as an entrepreneur and a corporate manager with particular expertise in the energy industry. As a futures trader at Mirant Corporation, Mike managed a proprietary company account in electricity and natural gas derivatives during the Enron go-go days. More recently, he rejoined Mirant to lead its alternative fuels effort. In this capacity he is responsible for strategy and business development with regard to substitute fuels for the company’s portfolio of coal, oil and natural gas-fired power plants. Mirant (NYSE: MIR) owns and operates power generation assets in deregulated markets throughout the US. Mike resides in downtown Atlanta with his two dogs, Missy and Deuce. He looks forward to helping the IBC grow and make a difference in the parts of the world with the greatest human need.
Lev Turner - Deputy Executive Director
Lev holds a M.S. in International Public Services Management. Prior to working with the IBC, she spent time traveling abroad to conduct international development and national security research in India, the Middle East, and Western Europe. Recently, Lev presented her work on water provisioning in India’s rural communities at the International Society for Third Sector Research conference in Barcelona, Spain.
Lev enjoys learning modern languages, traveling, examining water resources management initiatives around the world, and watching “Bollywood” films.
